Donald C. Grenesko
Mr. Grenesko served in a variety of finance and management positions throughout his career, which includes 28 years at the Tribune Company. Most recently, he led the company's financial reporting, treasury and financial operations as Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration, and Chief Financial Officer from 1991 to 2008.
While with the Tribune, Mr. Grenesko also worked with the Chicago Cubs, a former Tribune subsidiary, from 1985 to 1991. The team appointed Mr. Grenesko as Executive Vice President of Business Operations in 1985, and he served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1988 to 1991. Before that, he was Treasurer at the Tribune from 1984 to 1985 and Assistant Treasurer from 1980 to 1984.
Prior to joining the Tribune Company, Mr. Grenesko was Vice President, Corporate Finance, at Blunt, Ellis & Loewi from 1978 to 1980 and a leasing officer at The Northern Trust Company from 1974 to 1978.
A native of the Pittsburgh, PA area, Mr. Grenesko holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Northwestern University and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Grenesko serves as a member of the board and finance committee for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, a trustee of the Chicago Foundation for Education, and a member of the Chicago CFO Society and the Kellogg Alumni Advisory Board of Northwestern University.
