Awards:
The men and women of WWMT Newschannel 3 have been honored repeatedly over the past two decades with some of the top awards of broadcast journalism. There have been EMMY awards for Newscast, News Documentary, Feature Reporting and News Videography from the National Television Academy's Michigan chapter, a national RTNDA Edward R. Murrow award for investigative reporting, and a number of regional Murrows for series, documentary, continuing coverage and investigative work. WWMT has twice been named "Station of the Year" by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, and MAB awards for Best Newscast, Weathercast, Sportscast, Hard News, News Special, Feature Reporting and Documentary, grace the halls. Newschannel 3's photojournalists have won numerous honors in regional clip competition in the National Press Photographers Association. Dozens of first-place awards from the Associated Press also share an honored place at Newschannel 3.

Location:
Located in beautiful southwest Michigan, perfectly placed midway between Detroit and Chicago, and only half-an-hour from Lake Michigan.
Market:
A large, diverse market that has the benefit, of a great location with all the seasons represented well. The area is also home to major national manufacturers, including Whirlpool, Pfizer, Amway, Kellogg, General Motors, Stryker, Steelcase and Haworth. The southeast shore of Lake Michigan provides a seasonal tourist attraction for much of the upper Midwest.

There is a wonderful variety of activities for everyone, from shopping and attractions to a wide range of sports. These include golf, boating, biking, fishing, hunting, tennis, camping and when the weather changes skiing, snowmobiling and ice skating.
